Ceramic Coating Prices in Vaughan: See the Price Before You Book

Ceramic-coating prices are often harder to find than they should be. A website promises a free quote, asks for your name, number, email, vehicle and preferred appointment, and still does not tell you whether the job is likely to cost $500 or $2,000.

At Gaslight Detailing Studio, our standard pricing is public. Choose the vehicle size, choose the condition of the paint and then add any coating-duration or surface upgrades you want. If an unusual paint condition changes the scope, we explain it before the vehicle is booked.

All prices below are in Canadian dollars and are subject to HST.

Paint correction plus three-year ceramic coating

Every package below includes the selected paint-preparation level and a three-year ceramic coating on the painted exterior panels.

These are fixed package prices for standard-sized vehicles with factory paint in serviceable condition. Overspray, failing clear coat, extensive tar, previous coating removal, unsafe repainted panels or other unusual conditions are assessed separately before work begins.

Coating-duration upgrades

The correction level determines how the paint looks before it is protected. The coating term determines how long the selected protection is designed to perform when properly maintained. Long-term coating performance depends on installation, use and maintenance. If the selected product requires inspections or scheduled maintenance to retain its manufacturer warranty, those requirements are explained in writing.

“Wheel faces” means the visible front surfaces while the wheels remain installed. The wheels-off service includes the inner barrels and brake calipers, which requires considerably more cleaning and labour.

What every package includes

  • detailed exterior wash;

  • iron and chemical decontamination;

  • clay treatment where required;

  • the selected enhancement or correction level;

  • panel preparation before coating;

  • three-year ceramic coating on painted exterior panels;

  • application to compatible painted and gloss-black exterior trim;

  • controlled curing;

  • aftercare instructions;

  • a complimentary 30-day inspection.

Which paint level should you choose?

Enhancement: new or nearly new paint

Choose enhancement when the vehicle is new, nearly new or already has clean paint. It is a conservative, gloss-focused machine polish intended to improve clarity and address very minor dealership haze or handling marks.

Enhancement is not sold as scratch removal. It is the sensible option when the paint does not need aggressive work.

One-stage: light swirls and wash marks

Choose one-stage correction for a new or lightly used vehicle with minor wash marring, fine swirls or light imperfections. One carefully selected pad-and-polish combination improves the entire vehicle without chasing defects that would require unnecessary clear-coat removal.

Two-stage: moderate defects

Choose two-stage correction when the paint has more obvious swirl marks, oxidation, water-spot etching or clear-coat scratches. The first stage provides the defect removal; the second stage refines the finish for gloss and clarity.

Showroom: the best safe finish

Showroom correction is intended for enthusiast, luxury and show vehicles. It uses multiple correction and refining steps and may include targeted wet sanding where appropriate. The objective is the best safe result the individual paint system can support, not a blanket promise that every deep scratch will disappear.

Example totals

Here are a few complete examples so there is no mental arithmetic required:

  • New sedan, enhancement and three-year coating: $499 plus HST.

  • Lightly swirled sedan, one-stage correction and five-year coating: $699 plus HST.

  • Medium SUV, two-stage correction, ten-year coating, wheel faces and glass: $1,274 plus HST.

  • Pickup, enhancement, five-year coating and all exterior glass: $849 plus HST.

Why do we separate paint condition from coating duration?

An expensive coating does not correct the finish beneath it. A ten-year product applied over visibly swirled paint can preserve a result the owner never wanted. At the same time, a new car with clean paint should not be forced into a two-stage correction just to purchase long-term protection.

Separating the two decisions keeps the recommendation honest. You pay for the paint work your vehicle needs and the coating term you actually want.

What could change the listed price?

Most vehicles fit directly into the chart. We ask for photos or inspect the paint when there is evidence of:

  • failing, peeling or very thin clear coat;

  • substantial overspray or industrial contamination;

  • an existing coating that must be removed;

  • extensive touch-up paint or prior body work;

  • a dually, commercial upfit or unusually large vehicle;

  • damage requiring body repair rather than polishing.

If the job falls outside the standard package, the revised scope and total are approved before work starts. There is no surprise correction charge at pickup.

FAQ

How much is a three-year ceramic coating in Vaughan?

At Gaslight Detailing Studio, a three-year coating with new-vehicle paint enhancement is $449 for a coupe or convertible, $499 for a sedan or hatchback, $549 for a medium SUV, $599 for a large SUV and $649 for a pickup, plus HST.

Is paint correction included with ceramic coating?

Every Gaslight package includes a defined paint-preparation level. Enhancement is included in the entry package. One-stage, two-stage and showroom correction packages are separately priced in the public chart.

Does the ten-year upgrade mean the coating needs no maintenance?

No. Ceramic coating reduces maintenance effort but does not eliminate washing, decontamination or product-specific warranty requirements. Follow the written aftercare and inspection schedule for the selected coating.

Are wheels and windows included?

They are optional so customers do not have to pay for surfaces they do not want coated. Wheel faces or all exterior glass are $100 each, or $175 together.
